The Beginnings Of Kiki's House

Kiki and Chloe began working on Kiki's House.
Kiki: So what do you think?
Chloe: Well its the same size of my room, but its such and awful brown color.
Kiki: sigh....
Kiki: Now careful, we don't want any wrinkles.
Chloe: Take a picture of me mommy! Look I'm putting up wall paper.
Kiki: CAREFUL!!
Kiki: This photo looks very nice here.
Chloe: Mommy take a picture!
Kiki: ARGH!  Stop playing around! We are trying to get my house set up! But you are no help! GET OUT!
Chloe: Cheese... what a sour patch kid. I was just trying to have a little fun.
Kiki: Argh! is it too much to ask that she pay a little attention.

Chloe The Tour Guide

Here is a post that i just found that I never posted, so here:

On the first day that Kiki was with us, Chloe decided that it would be a good idea to give Kiki a little tour of the house (well the places that Blythe's frequent).
Chloe: Even though the house building didnt go great, I am willing to put it behind me and give you a tour of the house.
Kiki: Hooray...
Chloe: First we have these beautiful rocks. Not that I've been posed hear yet, but Mommy says she will pose us here someday. As you can see these rocks are quite special, with their dirt... and cobwebs... and SPIDERS! Nooo way am I posing here ever!
Kiki: I do believe that you have already posed here... right about now.
Chloe: Now here is my special flowerpot. Mommy  only poses me here. I was wearing this very dress and the flowers complimented it nicely.
Kiki: What flowers?
Chloe: OH NO! My beautiful flowers are gone! Somebody must have stolen them.
Chloe: Alright now that we have cleared up that flowers apparently die, I would like to introduce you to Madison.
Madison: Hi! My name is Madison. I like puppies, rainbows, flowers, rollerskating, cooking and really everything.
Kiki: Isn't their something you don't like?
Chloe: Be nice!
Madison: I also have two younger sisters, Dotty and Flower.
Dotty: Hi. I like dots and ice skating.
Flower: I like flowers!
Chloe: This is the first floor of her house. Your in the kitchen.
Kiki: Its roomy, I like it.
Chloe: And now for the bedroom..... Ow!
Madison: My chandelier! My boa! You ruined my room!
Kiki: Yup, she's a room wrecker, i knew it.
Chloe: Umm that is all for today folks. Ill show you the rest later Kiki.
Kiki: It's ok Chloe, you didn't do tooo terribly.
Chloe: Thanks Kiki. Hmmmm what wallpaper should we get for the kitchen?
Kiki: I don't know....

Teen Vogue Magazine DIY

I personally really enjoy reading Teen Vogue and other similar magazines like seventeen, vogue and Glamour. Because of this, i decided that my blythe deserves some magazines to read.
Here is my blythe posing with all of the supplies. Some Teen Vogues, scissors, a stapler and some tracing paper (because its thin).

First I would cut out thin strips of the tracing paper. The width would depend on the size of the magazine cover that i found. In every teen vogue on the cover look page there is a small picture of the cover. That is what i used for the cover. Then i would find some add or picture and cut out the correct size for the back page. the strip of tracing paper would then be folded into a book and stapled. Then the cover would be glued on.
You then glue on the back and cut around the magazine and your done.
Here is Chloe posing with the first magazines that I made. I made many more but they're not included in the picture.

Chloe's New Bedroom

Today I began Chloe's bedroom! It was really fun and I think it turned out great! Here is how i made it.
First I began with some old boxes from our move. The bottom one is for Chloe and the top is for Kiki, when she comes. This box is #1 of my 20 projects.
I used our old wrapping paper for the wallpaper. Because Chloe's favorite color is Pink, I decided on the pale pink paper.
Here is Chloe helping me put up the wallpaper. We used the pink for the walls, ceiling and floor.
We then flipped through all of my Teen Vogues, looking for the perfect pictures to hang on her walls.
We decided upon Katy Perry (which i didn't use in the end), a cool picture that was about 80s revival and a picture of Miss Dior. I love Miss Dior perfume. We used rose tissue paper as the frame.
When the walls were dry, I moved the bed in. The bed is actually the box that she arrived in, with a lap warmer my Grandma made me as the blanket. I then went and took four pillows from my younger sister's barbies.
I then hung up the paintings, laid some pretty drawings out on the bed and Chloe moved in. Its not completely finished and there will be more furniture. The Popsicle is something my mom just bought. There was one for each of us (my sisters and I).
After finishing the house, i started on item #2. Its a bookshelf for Chloe. Its actually just two tea boxes.
First I coated the inside of both boxes with white paper.
I then just stacked them together and glued them.
Then after a quick outfit change, for a photo shoot I did while waiting for the glue to dry, i used more white paper to do the rest of the box.
Here is the almost finished product. I used the same rose tissue paper that I used for the picture frames. Its not quite finished because i plan to give it short little sparkly pink legs. I will probably use beads. I just haven't found them yet.

Chloe and Kiki

Right now I only have one blythe. Her name is Chloe and she is a Simply Vanilla. We went to blythe con together and she wore a red knit shirt, some black boots and a cherry skirt that absolutely killed me to make. I tend to dress her in bright colors, because they look so good with her pale hair and skin. I plan to decorate her room with cutouts from Teen Vogue and Seventeen. I will also be giving her funky wallpaper made out of wrapping paper. To the side is a picture of Chloe in the first dress I ever made her, barbie boots, a hat from my sister and a bunny from my other sister.
Kiki is the blybe that I hope to get. I have a tendency to never stop talking and so when I was telling my mom about how I should get a new blythe, i suggested that I make 20 items for my blythe before I can get her... not a good idea. I am now halfway through the first item. Kiki is a blybe with long black hair and bangs but i plan to cut it into a short bob, so that she will look like Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. I will then have to crochet her a Gigi. I will also be decorating her room with stuffed creatures from the other movies, especially My Neighbor Totoro!
